This is a wonderful Set of 8 - antique Limoges OYSTER PLATES - made by Charles J. These are 6 well plates with an additional center sauce/lemon well - each section is shaped like an actual Oyster Shell, complete with an embossed, rippled texture - finished with a randomly scalloped edge.

The decoration is a variety of floral sprays featuring White & Yellow Roses, Greens and White & Lavendar Sweet Peas - the pattern is very similar on each plate with some variation - mostly in the centers. 4 plates are Marked as made for: M.
