Decorated with a hand painted border made up of a gold gilt and black band with oranges, grapes, and leaves, a wide cream band, and gold gilding along the edge. Most are marked on the bottom PL Limoges France in green.

This is an underglaze whiteware mark used by La Porcelaine Limousine in Limoges France between 1905 and 1939. One plate is marked B & Co France. This is an underglaze mark used by Bernardaud & Co in Limoges France. All plates are signed on the back, one is signed Fogelsanger May'19, one is signed Luella Juniata 1919, and the others are signed LGF 1919 or LFG May 1919. Fogelsanger was an instructor in Stenography and Typewriting and worked at Elizabethtown College in Huntington PA between 1906 and 1910.

She worked at Juniata College until at least 1924. These have some wear to the gilding and minor usage wear consistent with age in the center, but no chips or cracks. Each plate measures approximately 7 1/2 inches wide. These are antiques and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the pieces.
