This set is truly unique and would make an outstanding cabinet dish set. Beautiful, Extremely Fine Condition for the age.
Marked - H&C (Haviland & Company). No discoloration or cracks, 1 chip on backside on foot edge. Very difficult to see the light use or ware marks. They actually look as if they have never been used. Have to hold in light at an angle to see the light use marks. GOLD - some of small sections of edges look as iff gold is worn. Gold is applied in tiny dots and dots vary along the edges. Looks as if some edges just have fewer dots and some edges the dots are closer or thicker.
CHIP - see picture 7, its on the bottom rim, back of plate. It is a delicate all white, scalloped edge.
Very rare to find at this point in time since it is such fine bone china and most pieces are not in great condition. This specific green H & Co. L, France mark was used from 1888 to 1896. This is one of the oldest Haviland & Company marks. This pattern mixes well with most fine porcelain.Thank You for your interest and looking.
