Roses & Gold Trim T&V Limoges 9 Piece Dessert Set
T&V Limoges 9 Piece Dessert Set. Roses, Roses, Roses, T&V Limoges. A lovely, T&V Limoges Dessert.
A beautiful set, painted with lovely Roses, Roses, Roses! The set includes a large tray, and eight matching dessert plates.All pieces are decorated with lavish roses, and finished with an elegant gold gilt (Rococo) style border all around. Each piece is also signed by the artist which painted the beautiful set. The Roses are decorated in shades of Pink, Yellow, and Berry, embellished all around with lush green leaves, and to further enhance the "Roses" are lovely Lilacs. All decorated in the true style.
The dessert plates measure (approx) 7 1/4" across, and the tray measures (approx) 16 1/4" long by 7 1/4 wide All pieces are marked on the bottom with two T&V marks. Tressemann & Vogt Mark 8, underglaze white ware mark in green initials with "Limoges, France, Depose", 1907 - 1919. The second mark is the Tressemann & Vogt, Mark 9, overglaze decorating mark in purple, T&V Bell with France.
Dating 1892 - 1907 (early part of period). This complete set is in exceptional condition! No chips, cracks, hairlines, or other damage to this complete set.The gold gilt is also in exceptional condition, if any wear at all it is very minor. One can see from the pictures provided that this has been a very well cared for antique. If we have missed something, please let us know.
