The quality of the artwork on this superbly hand painted Limoges covered urn/vase favorably compares to the master artists! The highly detailed background in shades of blue and green enhances the beauty of each of the hand painted roses. The fact that the lid to the urn remains after a hundred years is remarkable in and of itself!

That being said, there are a couple of minor issues. There is a shallow flake on the rim, covered when the lid is in place. Also, the points on the finial have been broken but you would only know under close examination. That being said, this piece is gorgeous on display!

The urn/vase stands 12 ½ inches to the rim and 14 ½ inches to the top of the finial. It measures 6 inches at the widest point and 3 inches at the opening. Other than the above mentioned flaws, this beautiful urn/vase remains in excellent overall condition.
