DESCRIPTION: This superb quality china has colors that are bright & realistic. This was hand painted by a talented artist on a blank of fine white china. The painting on the center medallion is beautiful. The rim has several parts: Gold on the rim, followed by a bright, deep blue trim line, followed by a wide, white embossed porcelain, another blue line, the a narrow gold line.

This is exceptionally well done. CONDITION: While this set of 7 plates is classified as used, the condition is superb.

We find no nicks, chips, scratches, cracks, hairlines, or repairs. There appears to be absolutely no wear to the colors or gold and no crazing. Look in the photos to see this. DIMENSIONS: The plates have a diameter of 8 3/4" with a height of 5/8". HISTORY/MARKS: Begun in the 1850's, Vogt & Dose became Tressemann & Vogt when Emillien Tressemann joined the company in 1882.

This was essentially a decorating studio which began manufacturing their own china in 1891 in Limoges, France. The company continued until it was dissolved due to the retirement of Tressemann in 1907. T&V is well known for its quality whiteware and boldly decorated hand paintings. This is a rarely seen T&V mark. There is also a stamped green Limoges, France mark. Please view all pictures carefully as they are part of the description.
