Limoges Hand Painted Signed Dubois Greek Women & City 13 1/2 Inch Charger Circa 1890s Absolutely stunning large porcelain charger with fancy relief molded scrollwork edge. Nicely hand painted with a Classical scene of a Greek woman sitting on a stone monument and another Greek woman holding an urn.

There is an ancient city in the background. The woman is wearing a yellow dress and the man is wearing white, pink and has a purple robe.

With gold gilding along the edge. Signed by the artist Dubois. Marked Limoges France in green and B & H Limoges France in red. Both the underglaze and decorator's mark date about circa 1890s. The decorator's mark was used by Blakemen & Henderson.

Has some wear to the gilding, but otherwise excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Measures approximately 13 1/2 inches wide. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece.
