This stunning and large decorative charger has been exquisitely hand painted in amazingly vivid warm palette of brown, red, gold, green with unusual country cooking arrangement depicting fish and pot on a kitchen table. It is signed with the artist signature - Dumas. This beautiful Charger measures impressive 13 1/8 across. The rim is scalloped Rococo style and gilded. The back of the charger is drilled and ready for hanging. Marked on the base with a crescent mark. There is not much information about the mark, however, the mark is pictured in the book "Collectors Encyclopedia of Limoges Porcelain" by Mary Frank Gaston and is identified as Mark 4, mark in green, ca after 1891. This antique French beauty is in very good antique condition, wear to gold in some spots (mostly on the left and the botom side on the rims), not extensive, but noticeble when look close. The pictures are Hi-Resolution, please zoom in to see more details. There are a few small marks related to use but nothing major.
I have not noticed any chips or cracks, a small line near the one of the holes on the foot. Some wear on the foot consistent with age.
