The golden pheasant is so regal with his delightful colors. The yellow flowers add a floral touch and the bluish-green ribbon adds flair to the painting. The ribbon has stippled gold and is outlined on both sides by a line of small, raised gold beads.
This is such a realistic painting of a golden pheasant and was obviously meant to be displayed as a cabinet plate or as a wall hanging. CONDITION: While this plate is classified as used, its condition is superb. We can find no defects or damage. There are no chips, nicks, cracks, rubbings, scratches, crazing or hairlines.
It is clean & white on the back. The wide, bold gold band on the rim is in exceptional condition. DIMENSIONS: This plate has a diameter of 9 1/2" with a height of 1 1/16".

This mark was used from 1891 to 1914.
