Elegant Decorative Large CIDER PITCHER from B&Co. DESCRIPTION: The decorative cider pitcher was handpainted with red, green, and blue grapes with beautifully formed leaves.

The artist was most talented as this is a well executed painting. The overall quality of the design is quite professional. The heavy gold trim on the rim is very rich looking and accents the smooth rim. CONDITION: While this cider pitcher is classified as used, its condition is superb. There are no chips, nicks, cracks, rubbings, scratches, crazing or hairlines.

There is some minor wear to the gold on the top of the rim at the handle where a right handed person balanced the pitcher to pour. Overall, the wide gold trim is solid & glossy. Note the black outlining which separates the gold from the grapes & leaves. DIMENSIONS: The cider pitcher has a maximum diameter of 7 3/4" and a height of 5 5/8".

The measurement from handle to spout is 8 1/4. HISTORY/MARKS: R emy Delinieres and P. Guery established a pottery in the 1860's in Limoges, France. Delinieres became head of the company after 1879 and established a porcelain decorating shop in 1881 as part of the factory. In 1900, the company becomes Leon Bernardaud & Co. Leon Bernardaud's family continued his company which is still in operation. Please view all pictures carefully as they are part of the description.
