This lovely Limoges art deco coffee or hot chocolate set was hand-painted by my great aunt, Elvina Jensen, in December 1925. Each piece is signed and dated (see photos). It's been passed down in the family from great auntie Vee, to her niece (my aunt) Eloise, to me. It's in perfect condition, as it hasn't been used in decades perhaps never. My aunt Eloise had it on display in her dining room for many years, but never used it.I have it packed away in a box because I don't really have a place to display it in my house. My great aunt painted quite a few pieces of lovely porcelain in the 1920's. I guess that's what refined ladies did in those days they painted porcelain dishes and serving pieces. I have a nice collection of a dozen or so plates and dishes that Auntie Vee painted in the'20s. This art deco coffee or chocolate set includes a round serving tray, coffee pot with lid, sugar bowl with lid, and creamer. They are white porcelain painted two shades of green and lots of gold. The interiors of these pieces or a beautiful iridescent white. This tea set is almost 100 years old and I wouldn't want anything to happen to it in transit.
