Jean Pouyat Limoges Hand Painted Signed JP Wernig Purple & White Clematis & Gold Charger Nice porcelain charger with relief molded and gilt highlighted scrollwork border. Decorated with very nicely hand painted purple and white clematis flowers over a yellow and white background. Marked on the reverse in green J. This is a white ware mark used by Jean Pouyat in Limoges France between 1891 and 1932.

Also signed on the reverse by the artist J. I have not been able to find any information about the artist, but I believe they based in Baltimore as I have another piece listed separately with the same signature and Baltimore MD. Has some wear to the gilding, but otherwise good condition. Measures approximately 13 inches wide. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece.
