Hand Painted at Factory Condensed Milk Holder / Jar 1890 C. This is a stunning condensed mik holder / jar. It was made by Haviland & Co. And has the Charles Field Haviland mark on the jar base. It was hand painted at the factory.

The jar and lid have a base pale pink matte finish wash over which a gold chintz design was painted. Even the bands of gold at the top and bottom have the chintz design painted on. The gold is in excellent condition with just the slightest bit of wear on the side of the lid handle. All the pieces are in excellent condition with no chips, nicks or cracks.

The liner plate is white with a simple gold trim. The lid and the jar base are both marked in the pink wash by hand, H.

I do not know if the pattern is 1890 or if that is the year of production. This is truly a beauty. The jar stands 5 1/2 tall when all put together. Please view the photos for a better description. I have other neat things listed.
