Fine Jean Pouyat Limoges Hand Painted Shell Coral Plate Gilt Gold. Circa 1905 8 1/2 inch diameter. Gorgeous colors and hand painted detail offered in this lavish circa 1905 Jean Pouyat Limoges France cabinet plate!

Stunning use of soft pink to peach, shades of green and deep plum. The shells and sea coral are fabulous! Gold gilt rim is accented with scallop detail and the artist also outlined much of the ocean plants with gold. Condition is very good with no chips or cracks and gold is in fine shape.

Where the darker green is on center of plate there is what appears to be white raised enamel detail to add depth and movement to the water. It is marked on the back with the green underglaze mark of JP Limoges that was used from 1905 to 1911. Please view all the photos! It is a lovely piece of hand painted French Limoges!
