D & C Limoges Hand Painted Signed EC Darby Prior Comes to Hamburg Plate C. 1900 Very pretty porcelain dinner plate. Decorated with a very nicely hand painted scene of two monks in a wine cellar with barrels, a bottle and goblets. With another monk in a doorway.

The scene is painted in a light brown color over ivory. With gold gilding along the edge. Marked on the reverse D & C France in green. Signed on the reverse EC Darby 1900 with the title "Der Prior Kommt A Hamburg" which translate to The Prior Comes to Hamburg. Excellent condition with no chips or cracks.

Measures approximately 9 1/8 inches wide This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece.
