Coronet Limoges Hand Painted Renaissance Couple & Gold 10 5/8 Inch Plate. Antique French porcelain plate with relief molded scrollwork, beaded, and medallion edge. Hand painted scene with a Renaissance gentleman and a lady with a spinning wheel. Heavy gold gilding to the relief molded border. Marked Limoges France in green.

Also marked in green Limoges Coronet France with a crown. This is a decorating mark used by George Borgfeldt in Limoges France between 1906 and 1920. Has some wear to the gilding, some scratches to the background of the scene, a gilded over chip to the edge, and an area to the edge that has been ground done in manufacture and gilded over.

No additional chips or cracks. Measures approximately 10 5/8 inches wide. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece.
