B & C/Bernardaud & Co. Gilt Hand Painted Artist Signed E. Miller Cake Plate Set

  
Antique (early 1900s) Bernardaud & Co. (B & Co) handled 10 inch plate (10.75 inches wide with handles) and two 6.75 inches (D) plates. This lovely set from Limoges, France was hand painted and finished with a rich gold gilding around the edges of the plates and heavily on the handles. The design features pretty pink and white cabbage roses on the vine with beautifully complimentary green leaves and the larger plates was signed by the artist who hand painted it. This lovely set is perfect for tea with a friend, a romantic dessert or any more intimate snack or dessert date. All three pieces are in excellent condition with no cracks, chips or repairs and there is minimal wear/rubbing to the finish.

If you look at the two smaller plates carefully you can see that they differ slightly in design. This is common with hand painted sets, slight variations in the designs. This beautiful set is was made in the early 1900s which is indicated by the B & Co Limoges mark on the bottom of all three pieces. Makes a great gift for Mother's Day!
