Antique T&V Limoges & MZ Altrohlau Floral China 8-Pc. Decorated by "Brentwood" and A. Pattern Description: Hand decorated on china blanks by T&V Limoges France and MZ Altrohlau Czechoslovakia CM-R.

Glossy black rim with gold trim and various flower decorations in center. Condition: Very good to excellent antique condition with minimal wear to designs or gold trim.

Light to moderate shelf wear to soles of plates. Each of the smaller dessert plates have a Maker's Mark of'MZ Altrohlau Czechoslovakia CM-R'. This is a mark used from ca. The Stara Role (Altrohlau) pottery works were established in 1810 by Benedict Haßlacher. The manufacture was bought by Augustin Novotny in 1824. Under his management employment rose to 100 workers. He also established three warehouses in Prague, Vienna and Pest. In 1836 Novotny started manufacturing porcelain.

The factory production was constantly rising. In 1870 it employed 800 workers. The MZ Austria marks were used by this porcelain factory after that acquisition. The company exported products to North and South Americas and the Dutch colonies. In 1909 the firm was bought by C.

Hutschenreuther and since then used a MZ Altrolau mark. The Altrohlau Porcelain Factories operated until 1945, when it was nationalized. The company still operates in the Czech Republic under the name Starorolsky Porcelan Moritz Zdekauer in the town Stara Role near Karlovy Vary.

The larger serving plate has a Maker's Mark from' T&V Limoges France Depose'. T&V is Tressemanes & Vogt of Limoges, France. It was subsequently decorated by an artist.

Gustave Vogt and Emilien Tressemanes started the company in 1883. It was bought by Reynaud in 1919. The Plates included in this 8-Piece Set are as follows.
