An antique Limoges charger featuring a charming floral motif. A stunning piece of French porcelain, it possesses a fully, hand-painted display of Dandelions growing on pale magenta stalks. The vibrant yellow Dandelion flower is a symbol of growth, hope, and healing. The greatest significance comes from its unique and instantly recognizable seed head.

Legend portends that if you can blow all the seeds off of a Dandelion with a single breath, then your beloved will wholeheartedly return your affection. This exquisite piece is also decorated with a lustrous, hand-pained gilt overlay on the floral elements, which adds a touch of opulence. With a primarily white background and earthy shadowing near the bottom border, this larger plate also has a lightly scalloped, gold rim. This piece bears the Flambeau torch white ware mark and the factory decorator mark, as pictured.

Produced in Limoges, it is marked with a green torch containing "LDBC Flambeau Limoges France Hand Painted, " which denotes production from the 1890's to early 1900's by Laviolette.
