Description: You are viewing a highly desirable Antique Limoges Plate with a Hand-Painted Fish and Heavy Gold Trim, with Light Blue Beads and Artist Signed. Size: This plate has a diameter of 9 1/2 inches. Condition: This highly desirable Limoges Fish Plate is in outstanding condition. There are no chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. My pictures are an accurate representation of its condition.

Provenance: This Limoges Fish Plate was produced in Limoges, France. The green star stamp indicates these were made as blanks or white wares by the Coiffe Factory in Limoges.

The red mark, which was applied above the glaze, has worn off on this plate, but I have listed a picture that shows the red mark on another plate. I have similar plates with both the green and the red mark on it. The mark dates these to 1891 - 1914. They were then exported to Mexico by the Loeb Hermanos (H'nos); which means Loeb Brothers. The Loeb Hermanos, or Brothers had the wares decorated or painted by hand by a studio pottery painter.
