SPECTACULAR RARE Antique Theodore Haviland Limoges Porcelain Monumental Charger, LARGE, Hand-painted 19th Century French Artist Masterpiece Painting on Porcelain, circa 1892, 130 years old, Vibrant Florals Tropical Forest Scene, France! In EXCELLENT condition for age! Some light wear with age and rubs to gilt rim.

No cracks, crazing, fleabites, or repairs observed. Natural artist imperfections as a hand-painted work of art. Few places where the hair from artist's paintbrush made lines in the paint (see photos).

1 ceramic flaw under glaze as small bump (shown in picture). Gold spattering by artist, and by design, artist glazes as texturing and shadowing as a "smudge" effect. No stains or dirt here.

This mark referenced on page 179 as Mark 23 in "Collector's Encyclopedia of Limoges Porcelain, " by Mary Frank Gaston, Third Edition.

Just under 2" h at 1 7/8"; 39" around ; 8 3/8" wide footing. Weight: 3 lbs 2 oz. AUTHENTIC: Marked on bottom with red Theodore Haviland "TH" mark overglaze. This mark used and dates this piece circa 1892. No artist signature found on front of piece, but there is an original blue paper label with appears initials "CE" as shown (see photo).
