Antique Haviland France Hand Painted Blanks Set Of 5 Dinner Plates-each Unique

  

This is a fantastic set of ANTIQUE LIMOGES DINNER PLATES! This set of 5 is stamped "HAVILAND FRANCE". The plates all have different hand-painted flowers on each plate. They are all unique and signed E.

They measure 10 3/8inches wide. All are in good condition with no chips, cracks or crazing to report.

It is believed that this set is from the turn of the last century. Painting China blanks was a hobby for upper class ladies in the late 1800s and early 1900s. These plates are believed to be these hand painted blanks. Each plate is unique, with a different flower and color scheme. When held to the light the reflection of the surface shows the brushstrokes.

The surface of the plates have a Matt Finish. Each is signed with E. This set would make an incredible display.
