6 Antique Bawo & Dotter Elite Limoges HP Queens Royalty Portrait Plates Signed. Marked Elite Works Limoges France - the two marks place this exceptional group of plates to between 1896 to 1920. 6 plates all approximately 8 3/8 inches diameter and signed by the same artist "Scott" in the lower right corner of each portrait, they depict various princesses, queens and, I believe, empresses of Europe from the 17th through 18th century. I was able to identify two - Princess Hortense de Beauharnais (5th plate in the rich purple); and Princess Marie Therese Louise of Savoy (1st plate in blue with the roses in a diagonal across her hair). As noted, there are some minor scrapes and a couple of very minor paint issues - but nothing disfiguring to the plates.

Also no problems with the plates themselves. A lovely, delicate group that displays beautifully. Please ask for an invoice before paying. To ensure the best savings.
