15 Hand Painted Gold Encrusted Floral Monogram Bread Plates Charles Ahrenfeldt. Beautiful bread plates measuring 6.25 inches diameter.

Double gold gilt panels make up the border with hand painted insets of multicolor florals. Center monogram in floral script appears to EDT. They are also marked with a CAR Fabrique en France mark. The foot of the plate is also painted in gilt. I believe these plates were part of a service from the property from the Thomson House, 5th Avenue, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, built by Thomas Chalmers Darsie, by descent to Anne Darsie Thomson then to Robert Thomson.

In 2014 gifted to Chatham University, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Condition is excellent and the gilt and enamel florals are in very nice condition.
