This is one of 28 pieces of Pickard I will be listing, so if you are a Pickard collector, be sure to check out my other listings. Most of the items I will be listing would be considered Museum Quality, and most are hand signed. Some have stickers showing they were once on display. This vase was made Feb. 28, 1905, and is marked and numbered as such on the bottom.
I think that might make it a rarer piece. It measures 7 1/2 inches high and is 9 1/2 inches at its widest. It appears to have a cherry spray design and has a heavy layer of 24k gold, which the Pickard artists were known for. Each piece is hand painted by an artist.
This piece is signed J. It is also a T&V Limoges France piece. (Tressman & Vaught) No chips or cracks. Pickard China was started in 1894. They are considered to be one of the highest quality hand painted porcelain producers.
They provide the China for the Presidents. Pickard pieces are also on display at the Art Institute of Chicago. If you want to find out more information, there is a good video on you tube.
