Sevres Style Hand Painted Floral Blue Raised Gold & Neoclassical Figures Plate B Beautiful porcelain dinner plate. Decorated in the Sevres style with central hand painted flowers in pink, white, blue, purple, orange, and yellow framed in heavy gold gilding with raised laurel leaves and small beads. With a wide band of blue around the center, followed by a ring of pink roses, blue, purple, and orange flowers and raised gold leaves.

This is followed by another band of blue with raised gold gilt floral scrollwork and Neoclassical heads and figures framed in gold gilding with raised diagonal gold lines. With another band of flowers and raised gold leaves above this. Gold gilding along the edge.

Marked on the reverse with a blue pseudo Sevres mark with an S in the center. Also has a gold circle inside a large gold wreath. This can be seen if you shine a bright light through the plate. The mark is a crown above C Limoges France.

This mark was used by Alexandre Chastanger & Cie 1946 - 1988. Has a 1 1/2 inch tight crack extending off the edge, but otherwise good condition. Measures approximately 10 1/8 inches wide.
