The pieces started out their lives at blanks and were decorated by famed artist Ester Horlbeck. She signed her works under different names, and this one features the FB Hall signature. The numbers 416 are incised into the base of each piece. With plates, pieces of tea services, vases, etc.

Being more commonplace, I have not seen similar pieces to these. The jury is out on what they were intended for, as part of a vanity service, perhaps salt dishes, finger bowls, etc. What is undeniable is the expertly painted decoration and the rarity of the shape. Measurements: 4 1/4" diameter x 2" tall. Condition: Excellent condition, with no issues to note.
