Limoges Hand Painted Chocolate Pot 4 Cup/4 Saucer Creamer/Sugar Bowl Set

  
The Most Exquisite and Elegant! Presented for your consideration this Exquisite Limoges hand painted CHOCOLATE SET , Limoges Tressemane & Vogt, Ca Early 1900's. Also hand painted in 1927 by an artist identified only as F. All pieces have a purple to dark blue luster glaze which covers the T&V mark on all but one of the cups (the T&V maker's mark is just barely visible under the purple glaze on a couple other pieces). Several of the painter's F. Signature are further enhanced by annotation showing the year of decorating - 1927. Included in the grouping are four cups and saucers, a creamer, a sugar bowl and lid, and the large chocolate pot with lid. The decorations include hand painted flowers over gold on all pieces plus, on the creamer, sugar, and chocolate pot, some lovely well detailed blue birds. It has unique look like vine branches handles and finials. Lavishly painted with coin gold. Large Chocolate Pot measures impressive 11-1/2" to top of the lid finial and 6-1/2" across the spout and handle.

Saucers are 5-1/8" in diameter and cups are 2-3/4" high at the rim (3-7/8 at top of handle). The creamer is 3-1/2" at the spout and 4" at top of the handle. The sugar bowl is 4-1/4" to top of lid finial and 5-3/4" across the handles.

The condition is Excellent with no damage, no repair and paint loss to all pieces but sugar lid. There is a small flake and couple of small chips inside the sugar lid covered with paint. This is the ONLY condition issue and there is no loss of gold or other decorative work. The unusual shape of the chocolate pot sets this set apart from most Limoges chocolate sets on today's market.
