Intricate hand-painted pattern of blue flowers intertwined with raised gold grape vines, gilded jar rim and foot rim. Diameter: 3 5/8 inches Height: 6 3/4 inches. Date cipher "J" Between the "L" and the "T" for 1968.

On the bottom it says, "Painted entirely by hand by Le Tallec of Paris and "France and the initials of the painter: EG. This Le Tallec pattern is illustrated in the book, Atelier Le Tallec Hand Painted Limoges Porcelain by Waterook-Clyde, on page 135, Atelier Le Tallec was started by Camille Le Tallec in 1930. He conceived his Atelier in the tradition of Sevres porcelain, of which he was an avid collector. In the 1960, Le Tallec started producing pieces for Tiffany & Co. Many of these pattern are still in production.

Following Camille Le Tallec's death in 1991, the workshop was bought by Tiffany & Co. Clients of Le Tallec have included the Prince of Qatar, the president of France, and Hollywood celebrities. Waterook-Clyde's book says that Altier Le Tallec has become the foremost studio in the world for exquisite hand painted porcelain, continuing a 350-year tradition in France that began during the reign of Louis XIV.
