Haviland Limoges Porcelain Hand Painted Game Fish Platter & Plate Set 19th C

  

Presented here for your consideration is this Fresh from an estate rare High End Set of 12 pieces Limoges France Porcelain Hand Painted Set featuring very vibrant colorful GAME FISH & SEA LIFE Service Platter with 11 Plates all in different scenes and gold gilt accents, but matching Set. The Service Platter measures 19 1/2" x 11 1/2" while the Plates measure 8 1/2. Platter shows Mark 1 & 9 underglaze representing Charles Field Haviland & Gerard Dufraisseix & Morel. Also Platter is impressed "DEPOSE".

Circa 1890 as shown in the Collector's Encyclopedia of Limoges Porcelain Third Edition by Mary Frank Gaston. You would be hard pressed to find another Set such as this one featured here. Platter shows a chip of the left top corner, one plate shows a chip off the edge, another plate shows a flake off the back and does not show from the front and one plate shows a chip off the base rim where the plate rests (all shown in my images so please view images for condition). I have not cleaned the Set as I have damaged too many items in doing so.
