This listing is for a antique HAVILAND LIMOGES HAND PAINTED COMPOTE WITH ROSES CENTERED SURROUNDED BY COBALT BLUE AND GOLD RIM. The underside of the dish and base both have small panels also painted with roses and accented with heavy encrusted gold. This piece was made by Haviland Limoges and distributed by Maple & Co. They were one of the finest furniture makers during the Victorian and Edwardian era and one of the prime makers and suppliers of furniture to the aristocracy and royalty in the United Kingdom.

No chips, cracks, or repairs. The gold has very little wear if any. Please see photo for makers mark and artist signature. Measures 8 3/4" across and stands 5 1/4".
