Beautiful and Unique 13 piece 1927 Birds, Flowers, and Luster Hand Decorated Tressemanes and Vogt CHOCOLATE SET. Additional Information or Descriptive Details. We do not know who FPT is but he or she certainly did a fine job. All pieces have a purple luster glaze which covers the T&V mark on all but one of the cups (the T&V maker's mark is just barely visible under the purple glaze on a couple other pieces). Several of the painter's F. Signature are further enhanced by annotation showing the year of decorating - 1927. Included in the grouping are four cups and saucers, a creamer, a sugar bowl and lid, and the chocolate pot with lid. As can be seen in the 8th picture, there is a tiny nick to the very outer edge of the sugar bowl lid. This is the ONLY condition issue we see and there is no loss of gold or other decorative work. The unusual shape of the chocolate pot sets this set apart from most Limoges chocolate sets on today's market. The decorations include florals over gold on all pieces plus, on the creamer, sugar, and chocolate pot, some well detailed birds. The chocolate pot measures 11-1/2" to top of the lid finial and 6-1/2" across the spout and handle.

The saucers are 5-1/8" in diameter and cups are 2-3/4" high at the rim (3-7/8 at top of handle). The creamer is 3-1/2" at the spout and 4" at top of the handle. The sugar bowl is 4-1/4" to top of lid finial and 5-3/4" across the handles. Net (before packing) weight is 2 pounds 15 ounces. Unless otherwise mentioned above or herein, this item or items is/are in excellent pre-owned antique or vintage condition and is/are free from dings, dents, chips, nicks, cracks, hairlines, stains or discoloration, heavy scratches, repairs, or other significant issues of mention.
