Chas Haviland Limoges Hand Painted Signed MK Renaissance Portrait Charger 1880 Beautiful porcelain charger. Very nicely hand painted portrait of Renaissance lady in a burgundy and white dress, with her brunette / brown hair in a braided up do with pearls. Surrounded by lemons and green leaves over a grey back ground. Marked on the reverse in green CFH.This is an underglaze whiteware mark used by Charles Field Haviland in Limoges France between 1868 and 1881. There is also a very faint M. Signature below the Limoges mark. It was probably written in gilt at one time, but that has worn completely off. These initials can be seen best from an angle. Excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Measures approximately 13 3/8 inches wide. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece.
