ANTIQUE LIMOGES HUNTING DOG & GAME BIRD CHARGER OR WALL PLAQUE. The plaque features a beautiful hand-painted image of a bird dog on point and a flushing European quail. The scene is artist signed and appears to read "Rip".

I've been unable to attribute this signature to a specific French porcelain artist. The charger has a gold painted scroll border and measures about 11 3/8 in diameter. It has 2 factory drilled holes on the back base for hanging on a wall.

The back is unmarked, except for an impressed "O". Although there are no Limoges markings on this charger, this exact shaped blank was used on many painted chargers with Limoges marks. It's guaranteed to be an authentic Limoges charger from the early 20th century. Condition of this Limoges charger is EXCELLENT with no chips, cracks, or fleabites. The painted image looks great with no noticeable scratches and just a few tiny nicks to the paint.

The gold trim does show some wear in places. Overall, this collectible charger looks fantastic and displays beautifully. It would make a fine addition to any collection.
