Antique (c1896) T&V Tresseman & Vogt Venice Limoges France Hand Painted Signed Cake Plate Roses Heavy Gilt; Marked For Authenticity. As verified by one of the markings on the back that indicates the date of production as December 22, 1896, as well as The Collectors Encyclopedia Of Limoges Porcelain, this piece is well over 100 years old and is in very nearly flawless condition.

Hand painted lush roses, incredibly heavy gold, amazing scalloped edges, and wonderfully crafted dual handles. The detail is incredible, from the paint work to the craftsmanship of the plate itself; another elegant Limoges treasure I feel lucky to have come upon. This piece is also signed on the front by the artist, which looks like either Roze or Rozy. I have yet to locate information about this particular artist as in many cases there is no reference to the finishing studios, but I will continue to reach out to various specialists.

I will update this listing accordingly if new information becomes available. Approximate measurement handle to handle is 11.25. Sits on a low foot. The edges have a gradual rise upward, creating a somewhat bowl style as opposed to being completely flat.

High quality, rich French porcelain. Incredible condition; as seen in the last photograph, there is one small chip in the porcelain on the underside of one of the handles that is not visible from the front side. Please review all photographs and message me with any additional questions.
